Carlos Le’Omar Gore, Jr., born November 2, 1995 in West Haven, CT, departed unexpectedly December 16, 2021. Carlos was the only son of Shaniequa Brown and the first-born son of Carlos Gore, both of West Haven.
Carlos was known to all as “Los,” "Los G" and "Los G the Barber." He was a graduate of West Haven High School class of 2013. Carlos was an excellent athlete; he played Pop Warner football until he tore his ACL. He was a hardworking, charismatic, and an entrepreneur in real estate and well on his way to financial wealth. He enjoyed traveling the world and entertaining all those he encountered. Carlos would strike up a conversation with an absolute stranger, who would then forever become his friend.
Los G the Barber’s motto was, "Guarantee perfection. If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see, I'll pay you.” And “Everybody eats” was Carlos’ mission in life; if he had it, so did you. Family and friends were everything to him. He cherished both more than anything. Among all of his talents, being a barber was Carlos’ sole profession. Los started this journey at Aunt Crystal’s garage here in CT and then went on to cut hair in South Beach, Fl, Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, CA.
Traveling the world, experiencing all it had to offer, and the freedom bought out the most passion in his life. Los found joy in everything he chose to do - every job, relationship, and home he felt it was his responsibility to love it or change it for the better - and that is exactly what he did.
Carlos is survived by his parents: mother Shaniequa, who was the light of his world, Dad Carlos, sisters: Chloe and Cyreya (Gore), brothers; Colby, Cyle, Cainin (Gore) and Logan Heyward. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmothers: Deborah Brown and Viola Sydoriak, maternal grandfather John Sydoriak, maternal great-grandmother Estella Brown, paternal grandmother Ida Gore, paternal grandmother Louise Woods, paternal grandfather Harold Bradley and Uncle Daniel Chambers.
Los left an impression on people that will never be forgotten. He always greeted you with that big, beautiful smile. He was always positive, and his energy was infectious. He will be missed by everyone for his optimistically motivated attitude and his loving, caring heart.
A celebration of life will be held for Los on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven. Memorial Acknowledgments will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service beginning at 11:00 AM. Masks will be required. The Waterbury Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
