Natural burial is an alternative end-of-life option that emphasizes simplicity, environmental sustainability, and the natural cycle of life. At Connecticut Funeral Care, we offer natural burial services that allow families to say goodbye to their loved ones in a way that is simple, meaningful, and in harmony with the environment.

Natural (often called green) burial involves burying the deceased without embalming or using concrete vaults or liners. Instead, the body is placed in a biodegradable casket or shroud, allowing it to return to the earth and nourish new life. Our compassionate staff is dedicated to helping families understand the natural burial process and assisting them in creating a personalized and meaningful tribute to their loved one.

OUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Our licensed staff available 24/7/365 to respond to initial call when a death occurs.
In person, online or over the phone arrangements with the next of kin to coordinate services and secure necessary authorizations.
Filing of the Death Certificate and securing any purchased certified copies.
Securing the necessary permits for transportation/burial.
Notification of the Social Security Administration.
Coordination for Military Benefits/Honors for veterans.
Assistance with composition and submission of the obituary.
Posting obituary to online tribute page.
Coordination with cemetery.
Coordination with officiant, if selected.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Basic transfer of the deceased from the place of death to our facility.
Transportation of the deceased in selected shroud or biodegradable casket to the place of burial in Connecticut.

PREPARATION

Sanitary care of remains as required when embalming is not selected.
Shrouding of remains or placement of remains within selected casket.
Placement of shrouded or casketed remains into transport vehicle to cemetery.

SERVICES

Licensed funeral director over coordination and supervision of weekday graveside service during normal business hours.
